# How do I edit my Scorecard after launch, and why are my scores changing?

The **Scorecard** gives each candidate a score from 0 to 100. You can change it at any time, even after your hunt is live.

| The Scorecard **ranks** candidates. The **Brief** **finds** them. To get more candidates or different profiles, change the Brief.

## Open the Scorecard

1. Open the hunt, then the **Agent** tab.
2. Click the **Scorecard** card. The **Edit Scorecard** window opens.

## Edit the criteria

Put the most important criterion at the top: drag the criteria to change their order. Then:

1. **Make a criterion required:** click the **pin** on the left of the criterion.
2. **Add a criterion:** click **Add criterion**, at the bottom of the window.
3. Click **Save** when you're done.

To reword or remove a criterion, tell Umamy in the conversation. For example: "Remove the English criterion".

The **percentages** are calculated automatically, based on the order of the criteria and which ones are pinned. You don't need to enter them.

## Required or optional?

* **Optional:** the criterion counts in the score, without blocking the candidate.
* **Required:** a candidate who doesn't meet it is not approved automatically.

|| Keep required criteria for your true deal-breakers (1 or 2). Making everything required empties your talent pool and can pause your search.

## Why are my scores changing?

After each change, Umamy recalculates the score of **every** candidate in the hunt. Allow about **20 minutes for 2,000 profiles**. In the meantime, the order of the list may move.

* Group your changes rather than editing a criterion every five minutes.
* Wait until the recalculation is done before judging the new scores.

## Check the result

1. Open the **Candidates** tab, then switch to the **Table** view (icon at the top right).
2. Look at the **Score** column: your best profiles should be at the top.
3. If not, tell Umamy: "this criterion penalizes the right profiles".

Keep **approving or rejecting** profiles with a short reason: that's what fine-tunes the ranking.

## Still stuck?

* **The scores haven't changed:** the recalculation may still be running. Check again in 20 to 30 minutes.
* **No new candidates anymore:** you probably have too many required criteria. Unpin the least important ones.
* **A question:** write to us from the chat bubble, we'll look at it with you.
