My hunt shows no new profiles: is my LinkedIn account disconnected?

Umamy finds and contacts your candidates through your LinkedIn account. If that account gets disconnected, your hunt stops quietly. Here's how to spot it and get things moving again.

Signs of a disconnection

  • No new profiles for several days.
  • Invitations stay in the queue and aren't sent anymore.
  • No new messages go out to candidates.

Check your account

  1. In the left menu, open Integrations.
  2. Under LinkedIn accounts, look at your account status: it should be Connected.

Reconnect the account

  1. On the Integrations page, reconnect your LinkedIn account.
  2. Sign in with your LinkedIn email and password on the secure page that opens.

Reconnect the same LinkedIn account. A launched hunt stays linked to the account it was launched with.

Check that the hunt restarts

  1. Open the hunt.
  2. At the top right, check that the hunt is Live. If it's paused, restart it from that menu.
  3. New profiles arrive at the Next agent run, and invitations go out again at their usual pace.

Why does this happen?

LinkedIn sometimes cuts access for connected tools:

  • after two-factor authentication or a password change;
  • when you sign in from a new device or a VPN;
  • after a LinkedIn security update.

To limit disconnections: avoid VPNs that change your IP address, and don't sign out of LinkedIn manually.

Still stuck?

  • The account is no longer available: you'll need to use another LinkedIn account for this hunt. Write to us, we'll help you.
  • The account is connected but nothing moves: write to us from the chat bubble, we'll check your hunt with you.
